Club stand at Mundesley Car Show

Mundesley Car & Bike Show 25th July 2021

With the first planned show being cancelled, along with most other events in 2020, the rescheduled event took place on Sunday 25th July.

As appears to be the case these days, the weather forecast was completely inaccurate. With no sign of the predicted thunderstorms and heavy rain, whilst it was a bit misty first thing in the morning, it was warm and sunny.

We took our P6 3500S and met up with Mark Watson in his P6 2000Tc and enjoyed a very pleasant drive along the coast road from Cromer to Mundesley, arriving at Gold Park about 8.30am. What a lovely touch to be greeted by the organiser by name and shown to a spot allocated for our club. Other club members arrived during the morning, Stuart Littleton, in his MGZT 260, Mervyn and Linda Hardingham in their Rover Maestro and Singer Vogue and it was good to see new club member Ron Bowers in his P4.

There were over 100 cars and bikes on display ranging from an early Ford V8 Pilot, a lovely VW Karmann Ghia to a very noisy Ford Mustang. There were a few craft stalls, a beer tent and sponsors Swash Nosh selling very good bacon rolls in the morning and burgers etc during the day. The show attracted many local visitors and it was good to see the interest in our club cars.

We enjoyed a walk along the beach, the amusement arcade and of course an ice cream. All in all, a very good day and certainly one to look out for again next year. All money raised went to local charities.
